Allardyce was also critical of Hodgson by혻hinting that the 69-year-old was boring because he would send audiences “to sleep”.

The Telegraph revealed on Monday that Allardyce has been caught up in an elaborate newspaper sting.

Undercover reporters posing as Far East businessmen혻held meetings with the former Sunderland boss and secretly filmed their conversations.

And when the chat혻turned to Hodgson and England’s failure at the 2016 Euros in France, Allardyce didn’t hold back.

Asked whether Hodgson had outside earnings, he said: “No, he wouldn’t want to, he’d send them all to sleep, Roy, Woy.

"He hasn't got the personality for it."

Allardyce혻also blamed the psychological barrier and Gary Neville for England's shambolic tournament.

He added: "There's a psychological barrier.

"The players let him down in the end. I think maybe he [Hodgson] was too indecisive.

"Gary was the wrong influence for him... f*****g tell Gary to sit down and shut up, you do what you want.

"You're the manager, you do what you want, not what anyone else wants."
