Frustrated soap fans SLAM EastEnders parking fine storyline

They took to Twitter to show they were less than impressed with the latest BBC plot

EASTENDERS fans made it VERY clear they were far from riveted by the show’s latest parking-related plotline.

Frustrated viewers took to Twitter to bemoan scenes which saw Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) slammed with a fine for leaving a motor in an illegal place.

The penalty left husband Vincent (Richard Blackwood) furious – because it was his vehicle she had been travelling in.

She’d even stolen Donna’s disability permit so she could bag a better place in front of the shops.

Yet despite ramping up the drama as Kim scuttled to try to hide the council’s penalty letter, soap fans were hugely unimpressed.

One sarcastically wrote on Twitter: “Kim stealing a disabled parking badge to go shoe shopping is the storyline I’ve been waiting for.”

Another added: “On Monday nights I have to sit through #eastenders혻last week was bin collections this week parking in bus lanes,” before adding the hashtags #really and #writersoff, while another echoed their thoughts and wrote: “Well Eastenders really on 1 last week recycling and alternative bin collection weeks Today about blue badges & disabled parking.”

Another cheeky viewer made a quip about the show’s iconic closing credits and posted: “Parking ticket story, did that really warrant the d d d d d ending on #eastenders.”

One commented on hardman Vincent’s toned down plot and branded the BBC “clueless” in a post which read: “Vincent off Eastenders used to brandishing firearms & threaten to kill people. Now hes all worried about a parking ticket. Clueless BBC ffs.”

Meanwhile one quipped: “Vincent is aghast at someone parking in a bus lane….hello?? You’re a murderer!”

The scenes showed Vincent quizzing Kim about opening his post, and he said: “I’ve got 28 days to pay a parking fine? But there must be some mistake because I haven’t parked anywhere.”

She sheepishly replied: “I might have parked on some double red lines and they clocked it on CCTV but it’s okay now because I sorted it out.

“I was outside a shoe shop and they had a sale on, alright.”

Fans wondered if his hardman reputation suited the storyline

Just last week, telly fans took to the internet to man about the soap's scenes revolving around bins.

They rubbished scenes which showed Walford residents discussing their new waste collection schedule.

In what appears to be혻a nod to recent changes in London, there is great confusion when locals learn the collections will soon take place every two weeks instead of once a week.
